PROJECT 1 - LOGO REDESIGN PHASE 1

NHRR logo development from Herbert Matter on Vimeo.

PROJECT BRIEF:
COMPLETE Redesign of the logo for one of these three Pensacola places:

1. "Palafox Market Downtown Pensacola"- farmers market in downtown Pensacola

2. "al Fresco Pensacola" - permanent foodtruck court in downtown Pensacola

3. "Pensacola Pop Comics" - Comic book store in downtown Pensacola

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL REDESIGN. A RECONCEPTUALIZATION. I DO NOT WANT YOU TO MERELY TWEEK THE EXISTING LOGO. IT SHOULD LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. NOTE TO THOSE WHO CHOOSE POP COMICS. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT. SO I DO NOT WANT TO SEE AN EXISTING COMIC BOOK CHARACTER IN YOUR LOGO.

YOUR FINAL LOGO MUST INCLUDE ALL OF THE TEXT THAT YOU SEE IN THE QUOTES ABOVE BUT FOR PHASE 1 YOU ONLY NEED TO INCLUDE THE MAIN NAME WHICH IS IN BOLD.

You have 3 in class periods to work on your preliminary logos.
PHASE 1 should be posted to your blog by Wednesday January 23rd.
10 preliminary logos created in Illustrator
They should look vastly different from one another. Not just simple color or font changes.
Place 5 each on (2) 8.5 x 11 artboards.
Number your logos to make them easier to talk about in critique.
We will have a group critique on WEDNESDAY JANUARY 23RD.
